TO STANDARDIZATION

In an exciting and unique expansion, Albert Uster Imports, long time importer of
specialty foods, is adding over 170 new "ultra premium" confectionery products from five of
Switzerland's preeminent artisan manufacturers. The company will feature products designed
especially for the "refined American taste" prevalent in today's market. This marks a reaffirmation
of the company's commitment to a personal and custom approach to their customers, and a stand against
the trend toward standardization and homogenization of food products in today's marketplace.
This roll out marks the culmination of a long, hard search for products that embody this philosophy.
The company knew that even though most producers may use similar technology, their end products
could be of a markedly different quality standard. How to find that "perfect product" was the
essential issue. The key, they found, was personal and sensory involvement in product development
at every level, from harvest to finished product. The five new brands embody this specialization.
Albert Uster Imports New Brands
Esprit Des Alpes is the company's new chocolate brand -- the perfect combination of serious
craftsmanship and modern technology. The couvertures number 7 varieties in 3 different forms
and the cocoa solids range from 44% to 73%. They represent the best custom blends of the rarest
and highest quality cocoa beans, each with a unique character and diverse range of tastes and uses.
The Milk Double Creme is a totally new concept - a dark milk chocolate that combines creaminess and
strong chocolate flavor. The Red Velvet 63% has intensity with a fruity flavor note and perfect
balance. Couverture Cremant is the pure ganache chocolate, with optimum viscosity!
White Couverture is unbelievably workable and forgiving, with a clean dairy flavor! Hazelnut
Gianduja is the authentic centuries old recipe. Superstars in all!!
Frutta Prima and Arte Piatto are the brands of fruit based products from a small family run company
in Switzerland. Marmalades have the highest level of fruit percentage of any bake-stable product
on the market today. The manufacturer has a long and close relationship with the growers.
Each crop is personally tasted and fruit hand selected. The careful gentle processing retains
the integrity of fresh picked fruit. A raspberry remains a raspberry!
Zürimix panna cotta, pot de crème au chocolat, mousse bases, pastry cream, and flan/crème brulee,
will enable the pastry chef to create labor saving pure tasting desserts. Confiseur d'Or is the
brand of distinction for decorations, flavorings, fillings - from nut pastes and chocolate shavings
to fruit creams and fondant.

will be available from Albert Uster Imports beginning July 1, 2000.
