Armed with an impressive 20 years of industry experience, Bernard Marquigny has assumed the position of National Sales Manager for Albert Uster Imports, managing the entire United States Sales Force, including territory in Hawaii. With a natural talent for motivating his sales force and the unremitting drive to continue principles of merit, Mr. Marquigny is an innate leader for many of his colleagues.
Mr. Marquigny united with the company in early 2004 as a Product Manager with the arduous task of bringing Albert Uster Imports’ new savory line, Savoir Fare, to the forefront of the marketplace.
In August of 2005 Mr. Marquigny, became AUI’s West Coast Regional Sales Manager. During his leadership Mr. Marquigny’s primary goal was to rebuild a more cohesive sales team and provide stronger support and leadership to a region that would be on its way to catching up with the other AUI sales regions. His rise to the esteemed position of National Sales Manager was destined, as he continued to stimulate opportunities to bend within his grasp. With the clear motto: “ He did not know it was impossible. So he did it…” adopted from Jean Cocteau, Mr. Marquigny’s objectives know no boundaries.
Professional History~
Mr. Marquigny earned his bachelor’s degree at Angers University, and later, in 1986, a Master of Management degree from Nantes Business School in France. An M.B.A. from Bowling Green State University served as yet another crowning educational achievement. With a profound interest and desire to work in the artistic world of gourmet foods, Mr. Marquigny’s next professional vocation was joining Gourmand Specialty Foods in 1988. Using his flair for sales and communication, he excelled rapidly in his new position as a sales representative, marketing a line of premium savory food products to hospitality clients and distributors. During his tenure, he managed a base of 150 accounts that included hotels, clubs, restaurants and brokers. Incredibly, he more than quadrupled territory sales, ranking each and every year as one of the top two salespeople in the company. In 1999, Mr. Marquigny ascended to the rank of sales team leader for the Virginia division. As a top performer for account retention, he lucratively developed and supervised several new corporate accounts and initiated new delivery routes in several critical areas.
