Monika Lencesova
Vice President - Marketing
It was her love of travel that ultimately shaped Ms. Lencesova’s future. After graduating from the Business University of Commerce in Europe with a marketing and business degree, she came to the United States in search of adventure, discovered the States, and found herself shortly afterwards as a member of the Albert Uster Imports team.
Ms. Lencesova joined Albert Uster Imports’ modest but busy marketing department in 1999. She acquired an overview of what is needed to support and market the company’s exceptional products, services, and people by her experiences working with shows, events, catalogs, and sales meetings. “Marketing is a field that allows me to do everything and nurture both my analytical and creative sides,” she says. In 2001, she was promoted to Marketing Manager.
A food lover who enjoys eating out, Ms. Lencesova has always been a taster and an observer of what’s new and exciting in the culinary world. In 2002, she took on another responsibility—that of Product Innovation Manager—finding and prioritizing new product ideas and actively pursuing the manufacturers to launch them. Now, the company introduces more than 50 new products every year. “Our innovation process is so successful because our product ideas are coming from our customers,” Ms. Lencesova explains. “It is a very gratifying process as I not only get to look for the ideas but make them come into realization, promote them, and launch them for our customers. When each product thrives, and our customers are satisfied, it gives me a feeling of extreme accomplishment.”
Of her position within the company Ms. Lencesova says, “When you work for a company that has good products and good people, you can easily put your passion into words and images.” Her steadfast goal is to help turn Albert Uster Imports into a multi-million dollar company by 2008.
In 2007, Ms. Lencesova will focus on adding to the company’s existing premium services. “We must be innovators,” she says. “In a fast-paced world you cannot allow yourself to stop. We have to continue to be new, unique, and remind our customers why they should choose us."
