Corporate Pastry Chef
Chef Amanda Haba is the corporate pastry chef at AUI (Albert Uster Imports). She works in the research and development kitchen that includes menu consulting and product development for corporate clients. She is also responsible for training and educating the sales force and customers, developing recipes, testing products, teaching and demonstrations.
Chef Haba first started working in a restaurant at a young age, folding linen and bussing tables. Eventually she moved into the prep kitchen where she felt at home. After finishing high school, she enrolled at Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island, earning her AAS in Baking and Pastry Arts and a BAS in Foodservice Entrepreneurship. Upon graduation, she began working in the pastry kitchen at the Ritz-Carlton Tyson’s Corner. Her diversified responsibilities included developing and preparing desserts for the club lounge, brunches, and special events. In addition, she also worked on specialty and wedding cakes.
